About Us

2 Queen Bees is locally-owned by Karen Lancaster and Tracy Pielemeier.

Both raised in Indiana, these two ladies were schoolmates in high school, and lost contact after graduating. Both went on to get married and have daughters. The two women would both move to Westfield, Indiana and neither knew they lived only a few miles apart!   Their lifelong attachment to horses brought them together eventually, when they ran into each other in Tractor Supply.    Then they ended up driving school buses in the same system and decided to go into the bee business together, and then shortly thereafter got their first hives.

Now the two successful beekeepers are actively taking care of their bees together and are the owners of 16 (and growing) bee hives. Their hives are producing all natural honey with no pesticides or chemicals used in the process. With the help of their families the two beekeepers have started a successful and rapidly growing business.

Tracy and Karen are active members of both the Indiana State Beekeepers Association and the Indiana Beekeepers Association.   They have also started the North Central Beekeepers Club, meeting in Hamilton County locations on the fourth Thursday of each month.   You can find that club on Facebook.

  1. Hey you Two Busy Bees!

I picked up some honey from Rachel at TSC yesterday. I just made some homemade southern biscuit muffins and drizzled them with your honey! It was THE BEST ever!! Keep up the great work! I’ll be looking for more honey in the spring. : )

  2. We met at the Michigan Beekeepers Conference March 11. I told you I would send you the information about the swiss honey frame transport boxes. Please google search for “Wespi Imkereibedarf” its all in german, but you’ll get the idea of what they are offering. On their website look under “Entdeckelung & Wabentransport” and you’ll find it. I think you got a really good idea with your product. The price is about the same, but then again everything is more expensive in Switzerland 😉
I am looking forward to my hivebutler.

    1. Regine!

Thanks so much for following up with us! We have been very busy doing presentations to school groups this past week, and haven’t had any time to look into this yet, but will definitely do so. We appreciate your faith in our product and look forward to bringing it back to Michigan this summer!

      Thank you again,

      Tracy
